I've recently gotten back into Loveless, after putting it don this summer. I just watched the entire anime in half a week. I'm on like chapter 40 in the manga, halfway or so. It's a neat show, a little pedo at times. . .a lot actually. My favorite character is Kio, he is so adorable! I love the idea of him and Soubi, but I no can haz, because Soubi is of course in love with Ritsuka. Whcih isn't just warped because Ritsuka is only a 6th grader and Soubi is a college student, but because Ritsuka's brother, Seimie (SP?) told him to love him, icky!
I read on a gaia forum about someone making an essay about how Soubi and Ritsuka are a modern day Romeo and Juliet, in an alternate reality that is. I kinda ashamed to admit that it makes sense, because they come from different units, Ritsuka isn't Soubi's actually sacrifice, and don't forget the whole Soubi being put in jail if word gets out thing. . . so instead of warring guilds it is more like social expectations separating them. If this was actually the case Kio is totally Mercutio (some lady, wrote a bunch of essays talking about how Mercutio is actually the the main antagonist, not only to R and J but to the whole concept of love) Kio does not want Ritsuka and Soubi to be together, which is actually quite sensible (friends don't let friends commit statutory rape!) but it also stems from jealousy. I beleive that the actual Mercutio was somewhat jealous of Juliet. . .
Also did I say that Kio reminds me a hell of a lot like the most colorful character in the book Rainbow Boys? Well he does, Kyle (or at least I think it was Kyle) had green hair and multiple piercings as well. . .really I'm not kidding!

I just saw The Fantastic Mr. Fox, which I enjoyed greatly. I alughed so hard when Ash (Mr. Fox's kid) was called a "wet sandwich" because "he's really short and he dresses like a girl! He's is just so strange too" (that was paraphrased) Now if Ritsuka isn't matching that decription I don't know who would!

I'm also making a Loveless Playlist. No emo music will be used thank you very much. I can't stand that stuff, it is so cheesy. But I will be using Of Montreal (go figure) and Neutral Milk Hotel (Song Against Sex is pretty much perfect) yeah. It will also include The TingTings Shut Up and Let Me Go (which fits really well too). I'm such a loser I know.

In other new, The Mountain Goats will be in town this weekend. Sadly I can't go ecause I will be going to the beach (long story. . .)
